How can I check if my VM’s vmdk disk is shared?

In a Linux focused WhatsApp group I am in, someone asked “How can I check if my VM’s vmdk disk is shared?”

My reaction- Why do you think it is shared?. Unless the VM is a part of cluster which has the ability to write to shared disk without corrupting data, there’s no reason to share a disk. Also, it won’t work. To share a vmdk disk, it has to be specifically configured.
